Bardstown Bourbon Lochs of Jura is a custom blend of straight bourbon and rye whiskey, finished for an additional 32 months in Single Malt Scotch whisky barrels sourced from Scotland’s remote Isle of Jura.
The finishing barrels are a combination of 84% ex bourbon and 16% ex Sherry casks previously used for Scotch, creating a unique combination of American whiskey richness and Scotch influenced fruit and malt.
Tasting Notes
Vanilla crème, blackberry compote and mint open into toasted oak and cigar box. The palate brings fresh spearmint, caramel and light cinnamon spice, followed by fruit forward Sherry notes and a long, complex finish.
