Bourye is a unique, premium blend of straight bourbon and rye whiskeys, counted among High West’s all-time favorite creations. In the glass, it opens with inviting aromas of Honeycrisp apples and caramelized peaches layered over notes of homemade waffles with honey butter, bergamot, toasted almonds, sandalwood, and even the evocative scent of a wooden chest filled with dark chocolate truffles.
On the palate, this whiskey is generous and textured, delivering flavors of maple glazed doughnut and salted crème brûlée alongside candied orange peel, chicory, English breakfast tea, ginger chews, and seasoned oak that add structure and depth. The finish lingers with the brightness of fresh yellow nectarines and a softly building rye spice, creating a long, refined conclusion that invites another sip.
Aged 10+ years and bottled at 46% ABV, Bourye balances mature oak character with an approachable proof, allowing its complexity to shine without overwhelming heat. It is best enjoyed neat or with just a splash of water to unlock its full aromatic range.
